The game is an exciting, fast-paced hockey evolution with focus on highly skilled play. The sticks used are light-weight, but advanced stick designs enable players to develop incredible stick handling, ball control and shooting skills. Over the years floorball rules have been refined to limit injury and promote a high scoring game. There are typically five field players on each side, and substitution can take place at any time. This means floorball is fun for any fitness and skill level! Forget the dull running machine or waving a few weights: have fun with floorball instead! We play indoors, so no getting wet in the cold rain, either.
The name floorball is actually a bit daft: floorball could mean anything where a ball is used on a floor. Other names for it is innebandy (in Swedish), salibandy (in Finnish), unihockey (in German/Swiss). Floorball is a relatively new sport in the whole world. In Hungary there is about 20-30 recreational clubs active at the time of writing. All the clubs are open both for men and women, mixed teams.
